RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a Freelance, Part Time or Project-Based talented Website Designer with expertise in WordPress and a passion for creating visually stunning and user-friendly websites. Join our team and contribute to the creation of impactful websites that effectively meet our clients’ needs and goals.

  1. Collaborate with clients to understand their website requirements, target audience, and branding guidelines.
  2. Design and develop custom WordPress themes and templates based on client specifications and design guidelines.
  3. Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to present design concepts and gather feedback.
  4. Customize and configure WordPress themes, plugins, and widgets to achieve desired functionality and visual appearance.
  5. Implement responsive design techniques to ensure websites display optimally across various devices and screen sizes.
  6. Integrate and organize website content, including text, images, videos, and other media elements using the WordPress content management system.
  7. Optimize website performance, including page load speed, SEO, and caching, using WordPress best practices.
  8. Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to ensure websites are bug-free, cross-browser compatible, and deliver an exceptional user experience.
  9. Provide ongoing website maintenance and updates, including troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and implementing design enhancements based on user feedback and business requirements.
  10. Stay up to date with the latest WordPress updates, trends, and best practices, and apply them to enhance website designs and functionality.
  11. Collaborate with web developers, content creators, and other team members to ensure a seamless integration of design and functionality.
  12. Train clients on how to use and manage their WordPress websites effectively.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in web design, graphic design, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. Proven experience in website design and development using WordPress.
  3. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a focus on WordPress development.
  4. In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and best practices.
  5. Proficient with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.).
  6. Excellent visual design skills and a keen eye for detail.
  7. Familiarity with responsive design techniques and cross-browser compatibility.
  8. Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and best practices.
  9. Ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  10. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices is a plus.
  12. Energetic, outgoing team-player who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done.
